Coordination Meeting of Directors of Application and Research Centers Held

The team of the Application and Research Centers Coordination Unit visited the Istanbul Gelisim University Technology Development Center (TEKMER) office on 20 November 2025 and met with TEKMER Vice Director Büşra Öztürk. During the meeting, information was received about the companies operating within TEKMER, and potential collaboration opportunities and project ideas were discussed.

The 2025 Coordination Meeting of the Directors of Application and Research Centers at Istanbul Gelisim University was held on November 12 under the chairmanship of IGU Rector Prof. Bahri ŞAHİN. During the meeting, the activities carried out in 2024–2025 were evaluated and the objectives for the new term were discussed.

Application and Research Centers Coordination Unit (UYGARMER) visited the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences on October 9 and the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences on October 28. During these meetings, discussions were held on the structure of the Coordination Unit, the fields of activity of the research centers, opportunities for collaboration, and prospective joint projects.

On August 18, 2025, in collaboration with the Application and Research Centers Coordination Unit and the Scientific Research Projects Coordination (BAP), a training session was held for the Directors of Application and Research Centers on how to create a website through the Academic Data Management System (AVESIS). The training aimed to enhance the digital visibility of the centers and enable them to reach the academic community more effectively.

On June 19, 2025, the management team of the Istanbul Gelişim Social Responsibility Application and Research Center visited the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences (FEASS), Prof. Kenan Aydın, in his office. During the meeting, the center’s ongoing activities, current projects, and future plans were discussed.

On June 12, 2025, the Directors of Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Application and Research Centers visited Prof. Kenan Aydın, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences (FEASS). The meeting focused on the centers’ ongoing activities, academic projects, and strategic development goals.

On May 29, 2025, Application and Research Centers (ARC) Coordination Unit visited the Turkish and Foreign Language Application and Research Center as well as the Oral and Dental Health Application and Research Center within our university to receive detailed information about their ongoing activities. During the visits, educational processes, institutional functioning, and Coordination Board decisions were discussed.

The Coordination Board of Istanbul Gelisim University’s Application and Research Centers (ARC) held its third meeting of 2025 on May 22, chaired by Vice Rector for R&D Prof. Dr. Necmettin Maraşlı.

On May 8, 2025, the Application and Research Centers Coordination Unit visited the offices of the Continuing Education Center and the Distance Education Center to receive updates on the current activities of both centers.
