In the meeting, Associate Professor Ahmet Sapmaz, Coordinator of the Application and Research Centers, provided information about the Application and Research Centers and the Coordination Unit. Detailed insights were obtained regarding the fields of activity and ongoing projects of the companies within TEKMER, and possible avenues for collaboration between these companies and the Application and Research Centers were explored. A meeting involving TEKMER officials and the directors of the Application and Research Centers has been planned for a later date. The visit concluded with a tour of TEKMER’s laboratories and the companies conducting activities on-site.

In conclusion, this visit served as a productive step that strengthened mutual information exchange and situational awareness between Istanbul Gelisim University’s Application and Research Centers and TEKMER. The project and cooperation opportunities discussed during the meeting are expected to contribute to enhancing university–industry collaboration.
