UYGARMER Coordination Board Held Its First Meeting of 2026


The Coordination Board of the Application and Research Centers (UYGARMER) of Istanbul Gelisim University held its first meeting of 2026 on April 28, 2026, on the 22nd floor of the Tower Building under the chairmanship of Vice Rector responsible for R&D, Prof. Necmettin MARAŞLI. During the meeting, the activities of the Application and Research Centers were evaluated.


The meeting was attended by UYGARMER Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Ahmet Sapmaz and Coordination Board members Prof. Yusuf CAN, Asst. Prof. Emre DOĞAN, Asst. Prof. Can Burak NALBANTOĞLU, and Asst. Prof. Seda ERDÖNMEZ.

The meeting commenced with the discussion of the agenda items, during which the activities carried out by the UYGARMER Coordination Unit throughout 2025 and up until April 2026 were presented to the Board by Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Ahmet Sapmaz. The presentation provided information on the activities undertaken to enhance academic and institutional operations.

Subsequently, the main agenda item of the meeting, titled “Coordination Board Evaluation Reports of the Application and Research Centers,” was discussed in detail. The Coordination Board members presented the evaluation reports of the Centers under their responsibility. The artistic and scientific performance of the Application and Research Centers throughout the year, the targets set for 2025, and the output levels achieved by the end of 2025 were comprehensively evaluated. With the contributions of the Chair and the members of the Coordination Board, it was decided that the reports would be submitted to the Rectorate. Following the wishes and closing remarks, the meeting concluded.

It was emphasized that the meeting was of significant importance in terms of increasing the institutional effectiveness of the Application and Research Centers and monitoring their contribution to the strategic goals of the University. The UYGARMER Coordination Unit and the Coordination Board will continue their efforts to ensure the more effective implementation of research and development activities within the University and to support projects and initiatives that contribute to society.
