IGU Application and Research Centers Visit FEASS Dean Prof. Kenan Aydın


On June 12, 2025, the Directors of Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Application and Research Centers visited Prof. Kenan Aydın, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences (FEASS). The meeting focused on the centers’ ongoing activities, academic projects, and strategic development goals.


The delegation included Application and Research Centers Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Ahmet Sapmaz, Director of the Economic Policies Research and Application Center Assoc. Prof. Deniz Şişman, Director of the Public Opinion and Social Researches Application and Research Center Asst. Prof. İbrahim Halil Yaşar, and Director of the Career Guidance Research and Application Center Asst. Prof. Mustafa Özan.

During the visit, the center directors shared insights on their areas of expertise, scientific studies, current projects, and the challenges they encounter. Potential solutions and opportunities for collaboration were also discussed, with an emphasis on enhancing the centers’ contributions to science and society.

Dean Prof. Kenan Aydın highlighted the importance of the centers’ work, stating: “We strongly support our centers in contributing to scientific production and student development.”

Visits to Seven Research and Application Centers Successfully Completed
With this final visit to the FEASS Dean, the series of meetings held with the directors of seven Application and Research Centers operating under the faculty has been successfully concluded. These centers include: Political and Social Researches, Sustainable Environment and Society, Psychology, Gender Studies, Career Guidance, Public Opinion and Social Researches, and Economic Policies.

The visits aimed to assess the centers’ activities, strengthen cooperation, and align future objectives with the university’s mission of contributing to academic excellence and societal development.
